Note from Theodora: I did these drawings in my lift recliner which I practically lived in for a long time after my heart surgery. Let's just say, an artist has to make art! I wasn't going to let a surgery stop and destroy my creative mind.

 What happened is that Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas broke my left leg by dropping me in the shower room. That also sprained the other ankle 3 days after my surgery. So right after heart surgery, now I was right back insurgery to bolt my leg back to my ankle. While recovering from all that, I was overdosed with Fentanyl.

I asked him if he was seeing the monkeys running across the ceiling along the wall! Needless to say, Glen caught the overdosing and saved my life! My advice, always have an advocate with you when you go into any hospital!

Now I had a cast on my leg and couldn't walk! I needed to learn how to walk again! So after being taken back to Bryan in an uncomfortable ambulance ride, I stayed in rehab for 3 months with a cast and then a boot on my leg! I healed I thought.

 After my cast and then boot were finally taken off by my leg doctor because my leg had healed, the EMT that was helping me get back to the rehab dropped me and broke the other leg. Back into surgery that night for my right leg where they had to attach my leg back to my ankle.

Back in rehab for another 3 months in rehab with bad salty food and needing constant care.  The facility was an ordeal. Another boot after the cast was removed and therapy to learn to walk! I finally learned to use a walker! Thank God!

Finally, after coming home I still couldn't walk without a walker or do much of anything.  So there begins my life with home therapy and practically living in a lift recliner! These drawings are the result! I put the dates on these so that you could see my persistence in making art! They make great posters!
